New curriculum version 2024.1 of CPSA‑A® module FLEX released
The iSAQB has published the new curriculum version 2024.1 of the CPSA‑A module FLEX (Flexible Architecture Models – Modularization, Integration and Operation of Modern Software Systems) in English and German.
The curriculum has been significantly updated.
The “Case Study” and “Perspective” chapters have been removed, although a case study is still recommended.
A new chapter, “Software Modules and the Organization,” has been added, focusing on team structures, socio-technical aspects, and the impact of communication structures on decomposition and architectural styles.
Chapter 5 has been renamed “Deployment & Runtime/Platform Methods” and extensively revised.
Chapter 6, now called “Service Operation Models,” covers additional topics such as service level objectives, incident management, disaster recovery, and chaos engineering.
Some learning objectives have been marked as optional to provide flexibility for training design. Additionally, modern architectural concepts and new terms have been introduced, and references have been updated to ensure the curriculum is current.
